BB6S helps the rider improve his riding technique by increasing the feeling of the braking maneuvers. With the Sixth Sense, a vibration in the front brake lever, the system suggests the correct force to be applied on the lever.

By monitoring the dynamics of the bike and the cyclist’s style of braking in real-time, the BB6S teaches the cyclist, in a gradual manner, how to search the limits of his performance by braking in a perfect way, and as such reducing braking time and distance.

BB6S is completely integrated into the bike frame and weighs only 187 grams.

Artificial Intelligence Control Unit and Battery Pack

This unit is equipped with accelerometers and triaxial gyroscopes. They are inserted inside the vertical tube to understand the dynamics of the bike. It is the "brain" of the system, where the control algorithms that animate the BB6S are implemented. The battery allows over 40 hours of continuous use of the system.

Wireless Speed Sensor 

A speed sensor applied to the front wheel hub that measures and communicates the real-time wheel speed to the Artificial Intelligence Control Unit via the ANT + protocol. The Wireless speed Sensor measures the speed 100 times per second, as opposed to the traditional systems that measure 1 time per second. This is because its function is not simply to measure the speed of the bicycle but to detect the dynamics of the cyclist’s braking.

Sixth Sense Haptic Actuator  

A vibrating motor integrated into the front brake lever. The vibration is managed by the Artificial Intelligence Control Unit and helps the cyclist to appropriately adjust the force applied to the front brake lever.

Rider Interface  

The interface is positioned on the handlebar. The cyclist can set the conditions of the road surface (dry or wet), turn the system on and off and recharge it.
